Authentication and Endpoints

Security is at the heart of DigiMali. Every API request must include an Authorization header with your unique token—issued when you register with DigiMali—to ensure secure communication.

Example Header:

Authorization: Token your-token-here

Keep your token confidential and rotate it periodically for enhanced security. All interactions with our API are conducted over HTTPS, guaranteeing encrypted and secure data transmission.

Development & Production Environments

DigiMali provides two distinct endpoints to support your integration journey:

Development Endpoint: https://stage-api.digimali.co.za Test and refine your integration in a controlled environment. This endpoint is designed for experimentation and troubleshooting before you go live.

Production Endpoint: https://api.digimali.co.za After successful testing and obtaining your production certificate, you will receive production credentials. Switch to this endpoint to process live transactions with full confidence.

This clear separation allows you to perfect your integration on the development side before transitioning to a live, customer-facing environment.
